Review: Essie Sleek Stick Nail Appliques

I'm pretty stoked to give this review because this is pretty much the first time I've ever worn nail stickers! I tried to put on Sally Hanson's like half a year ago and I gave up and threw them away it was so awful. So now I saw the Essie ones and I said why not? I loved this lace detailed one with a light pink base. It's like a french manicure but fancier

You get 18 stickers, a sheet with directions, a cuticle stick, and a mini nail file. You have to start with clean nails and all you do is pick the sticker that fits best. I was surprised at how well they fit, because everyone's nails are different. For the perfectionist in me, it took me a while because I kept trying to center them perfectly. Luckily you can peel them off and put them back on without ruining them.

So when you place them on your nail, a hint is to pull on the overhanging part so they don't pucker on the sides. It still happened a little but by pulling it made it less noticeable. After that you have to file off the overhang which is easier said than done. Unfortunately, this isn't a very clean way of doing it but it gets the job done.

I think as a whole they came out pretty great. Up close they really do look like stickers and the edges of my nails were exposed but from even a slight distance they look fantastic. What I was more surprised with was how long they lasted! I had a full week out of them and they would have lasted longer, but there was some peeling by day seven and I just peeled them off, which is all you have to do for removal.

These would be awesome for prom, or a wedding, or just for a crazy change! What is awesome about the Essie strips though is that they are UV cured so it's like getting that long lasting UV gel mani without the actual UV lights. Plus it doesn't take like an hour to do!

These were about $13 which honestly, is less than some professional manicures!
